Gematria is a Jewish form of numerology in which the letters of the Hebrew alphabet are substituted with corresponding numbers. The first ten letters are given number values that increase consecutively from 1 to 10.
The numbers ascend on nine spokes of a wheel (circle). Adding the numbers on each spoke give 111, 222, 333, 444, 555, 666, 777, 888 and 999.
A square that is 100 long on each side is how the milestones in Washington DC were originally laid out.
Isopsephy (/ˈaɪsəpˌsɛfi/; ἴσος isos meaning "equal" and ψῆφος psephos meaning "pebble") or isopsephism is the practice of adding up the number values of the letters in a word to form a single number.
