Q Ein Sof: the Fountain, the River of Light, the Sea of Nothingness, the Knights Templar Sator Square and the Secret of Sri Yantra

Ein Sof - Wikipedia

Ein Sof, or Eyn Sof (/eɪn sɒf/, Hebrew: אין סוף‎), in Kabbalah, is understood as God prior to any self-manifestation in the production of any spiritual realm, probably derived from Solomon ibn Gabirol's (c. 1021 – c. 1070) term, "the Endless One" (she-en lo tiklah). Ein Sof may be translated as "unending", "(there is) no end", or infinity.[1] It was first used by Azriel (c. 1160 – c. 1238), who, sharing the Neoplatonic belief that God can have no desire, thought, word, or action, emphasized by it the negation of any attribute. Of the Ein Sof, nothing ("Ein") can be grasped ("Sof"-limitation). It is the origin of the Ohr Ein Sof, the "Infinite Light" of paradoxical divine self-knowledge, nullified within the Ein Sof prior to creation. In Lurianic Kabbalah, the first act of creation, the Tzimtzum self "withdrawal" of God to create an "empty space", takes place from there. In Hasidic Judaism, the Tzimtzum is only the illusionary concealment of the Ohr Ein Sof, giving rise to monistic panentheism. Consequently, Hasidism focuses on the Atzmus divine essence, rooted higher within the Godhead than the Ein Sof, which is limited to infinitude, and reflected in the essence (etzem) of the Torah and the soul.

Ain - Nothingness

Ain Soph - Limitless

Ain Soph Aur - Limitless light

The pictograph of Qof, Qoph or Quph, 19th Hebrew letter is the sun on the horizon.

At the physical level, river and light both carry energy and display the wave-particle duality.

At the spiritual level, both river and light are the intermediary that connects the two opposites, specifically, the river is the flow of water from the fountain to the sea, and the light is the flow of energy from the “Ein Sof” to “Nothingness”, their gematria are the same:

Fountain מַעְיָן 170 Ein Sof

אֵין סוֹף 207 River נָהָר 255 Light

אוֹר 207 Sea יַם 50 Nothingness

אַיִן 61 475 475

The Number 61 - Self/Nothing - AIN and ANI

There is a profound Jewish tradition relating the personal pronoun ani (I) to its anagram ain (nothing). It encapsulates the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ:

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

To serve God and find true life, we must crucify our flesh and deny ourselves. This is the great paradox of God's Truth!

The Jewish tradition then turns the word around again, and looking at God who calls Himself Ani (I) and takes the anagram Ain to mean that there is aboslutely nothing we can compare to the Lord, as it is written (Isaiah 46.5f):

To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble. Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none [Ain] else; I am God, and there is none like me.

Fountain is Wisdom, River is Understanding, and Sea is Knowledge. Similarly, Ein Sof is the source, Light is the channel, and Nothingness is the physical world created as “something from nothing” יֵשׁ מֵאַיִן.

“Light of Ein Sof” אוֹר אֵין סוֹף in gematria is 414, which is exactly the same gematria of “fountain of life” מְקוֹר חַיִּים, as it is written:

כִּי-עִמְּךָ, מְקוֹר חַיִּים; בְּאוֹרְךָ, נִרְאֶה-אוֹר For with Thee is the fountain of life; in Thy light do we see light (Psalm 36:10)

Gematria 266 = Image like God

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation…(Col 1:15) God has no image, hence the image of God is the concept of “tzimtzum”, the concept of diminution and contraction, the gematria of “tzimtzum” צִמְצוּם is 266, which is exactly the same gematria of the “Image like God” צֶלֶם כֵּאלֹהִים.
