When I read The Teachings of Ptahhotep (the Peacemaker) and consider that Ptah, Seker, Amen-Ra are all the same as Osiris, it makes me consider that our modern understanding of eternal life, a life that does not end might not be the correct understanding. It makes more sense that what was meant originally was an "everlasting" life meaning a better life, a higher quality life or maybe even an extended, longer, or more fulfulling life.
